Bucket Showers!
One of the biggest issues at the barracks is hygiene and health. For months and months there have been no showers. Can you imagine living in this filth with no way to clean yourself and over a thousand other people? We bought supplies to make bucket showers -- they were put together by another small group, Direct Action Volunteers - so the residents can heat the water on wood fires, fill the bucket, hang them on a pole, and can clean in this way.
SoulWelders is building stalls for them too! They are the amazing team that has also been providing wood.
